5^th Oct 1844	Absent from Tattoo roll call on the night of the 3^rd instant and not returning until between the hours of 8 and 9 o’clock on the night of the 4^th instant he at the same time undergoing the Commanders Officers Punishment for former irregularities	8 days confined to barracks
12^th Oct 1844	Absent from Check roll call between the hours of 12 and 1 o’clock on the night of the 9^th instant and not returning until between the hours of 5 and 6 o’clock on the night of the 12^th instant	4 days Dry room 8 days confined to barracks
22^nd Oct 1844	Absent from Check roll call between the hours of 12 and 1 o’clock on the night of the 21^st instant and not returning until the morning of the 22^nd instant he at the same time undergoing punishment by the Commanding Officer	24 hours Black Hole 10 days confined to barracks
5^th Dec 1844	Absent from Tattoo on the night of the 5^th instant and not returning until night of the 6^th	4 days Dry room and 10 days confined to barracks
26^th Dec 1844	Absent from Company’s Drill of the evening of 26^th instant and not returning until the morning of the 28^th instant	3 days pay stopped 6 days Dry room 10 days confined to barracks
28^th Dec 1844	For not coming to Commanding Officers Punishment with arms and accoutrements	3 days Heavy Order Drill
16^th Feb 1845	Absent from Tattoo on the 16^th instant and until the morning of the 18^th	2 days pay stopped 3 days Heavy Order Drill
3^rd April 1845	Destroying his cloth trousers for the year 1844	5 days Heavy Order Drill and 14 days confined to barracks afterwards
2^nd Aug 1845	Overstaying his pap(?) on the night of the 2^nd August and not returning until the night of the 3^rd instant	2 days pay stopped, 3 days Heavy Duty Drill and confined to barracks
24^th Sept 1845	Absent from Tattoo on the 24^th and not returning until night of the 25^th instant	2 days pay stopped, 3 days Heavy Duty Drill and confined to barracks

17^th Mar 1846	Absent from Tattoo on the 17^th and not returning until the morning of the 19^th	2 day’s pay stopped and 20 days confined to barracks and drills
7^th July 1846	Putting on plain clothes and absenting himself from hospital when confined thereto and when being sent as a prisoner to the Barracks in charge of ?? Turkington on the evening of 7^th ran away from the said ?? and not returning till evening of the 8th	10 days Drill and confined to Barracks no further punishment in consequence of being 4 months clear of Defaulters Book
12^th Aug 1846	Overstaying his pap(?) from 11 o’clock on the night of the 12^th August and not returning till morning of 14^th thereby missing a Guard	2 day’s pay stopped. Drills and confined to barracks until paid being up his Guard
*Then there was 3 ½ years troublefree*
10^th Feb 1850	Absent from Tattoo on 10^th February 1850 at Dublin and not returning till 13^th February 1850 .m.	2 days pay stopped 14 days confined to Barracks
11^th Mar 1850	Absent from Tattoo on 11^th March 1850 at Dublin and not returning until 9 o’clock 13^th March 1850	1 days pay stopped 10 days confined to Barracks
*Then a 2 ½ years period without trouble but*
7^th Sep 1852	Drunk when on Fatigue Duty as Ration Carrier of the Company at Gibraltar	10 days confined to Barracks
20^th Sep 1852	Improperly dressed in the streets and brought in by the Regiment at 8 o’clock p.m. Then drunk in Gibraltar	7 days confined to Barracks
7^th Nov 1852	Drunk in the street and brought into Barracks by the Regiment in Gibraltar	14 days confined to Barracks
14^th Apr 1853	Drunk in Barracks in Gibraltar	10 days confined to Barracks
3^rd May 1853	Drunk in the streets and taken up by the Main Guard at Gibraltar	10 days confined to Barracks
